  • Fire damage
  • Smoke damage
  • Water damage

We also install kickout flashing and repair kickout flashing problems. Incorrectly installed kickout flashing will often result in moisture problems for your walls as seen in the left picture below. Proper kickout flashing, as seen in the right picture below, will divert water away from the wall.

Stucco Crack Repairs

Cracks in stucco can be a common ordeal in maintaining stucco walls, particularly hard coat stucco. If stucco cracks are not repaired, water can penetrate the wall causing leaking, molding, wood and frame rotting, and even cause the stucco to peal off. We strongly urge you to use a licensed and certified stucco contractor who has proven reliability in their work because we believe in the importance of doing the job right the first time. When repairing stucco cracks, we can match the color and/or texture or, if desired, provide a fresh new color and/or texture.

Cracks can appear in stucco for a number of reasons. They can be the result of certain layers of stucco missing, the cement layer in stucco was not allowed to cure properly, an absence of caulking and sealants where your stucco meets another surface, or an absence of kickout flashing. For instance, if caulking is missing around your stucco where the stucco meets windows, doors, or wood trims, moisture can penetrate behind the stucco. When this happens, you are likely to see water stains, stucco cracks, and peeling stucco as is visible in the pictures below that result in mold, wood frame rotting, many expensive repairs, and large damages to the investment you put in your home. This is why it is important that if you do spot cracks in your stucco, you get them repaired as quickly as possible before rain or winter because the moisture can penetrate and cause additional damages that can endanger your home's stability.

As a friendly word of advice, you should never paint stucco. Just a quick search on Google will yield countless articles explaining why you should never apply paint onto stucco and yet, painting stucco is one of the most common mistakes homeowners make. Stucco is a porous product and it needs to breath. When you paint stucco, the paint traps moisture inside the stucco, which then results in moisture and mold problems and the moisture pushing out against the paint, which results in the paint peeling-off of and separating from the stucco. It has to be stressed that paint and stucco are 2 totally different products. In fact, stucco actually consists of multiple layers, including mesh or wire, a cement base coat, and a pigment-, sand- and rock-based finish coat. Stucco already comes with color included so if you ever feel the need to change your stucco's appearance, please be sure to use only stucco products on stucco. Below are a couple of pictures of paint beginning to peel-off of stucco to illustrate just one of the many reasons why you should only use stucco products to change the color of stucco and never use paint on stucco.
